An entire generation of Uyghur youth are fighting for their language, culture, and communities.

Current Initiative:

UNGP is currently working with a local NYC family to help reopen their restaurant, which was closed in late 2022 due to a landlord dispute. Our team is providing ongoing financial and operational support to get the business back on its feet.

The Chinese Communist Party’s campaign to suppress ethnic minorities has led to the forceful detention of over 2 million Uyghurs since 2017.

Our mission, as allies, is to amplify the Uyghur community’s voice on the world stage while bringing attention to the CCP's human rights abuses. But that mission doesn't end at raising awareness. By partnering with community activists in the U.S. and abroad, we're working to create opportunities for displaced Uyghur youth through meaningful action.

The Uyghur Endurance Challenge is an annual 24 hour ultra-marathon race held in Princeton, New Jersey. Runners from across the United States come together to push their bodies and minds to their limits in support of the Uyghur community. All participants in the challenge, individually raise money and awareness for the Uyghur diaspora. The funds are then used to support Uyghur-led development projects around the world.

Endurance Challenge

Development Projects

The Uyghur NextGen Project uses our online and social media platforms to build domestic support for the Uyghur people and awareness of the ongoing challenges they face. We publish Uyghur-related news, promote Uyghur history & culture, and engage with American youth to build an international coalition against the Chinese Community Party’s genocide in East Turkestan.

Domestic Advocacy

Uyghur NextGen uses the funds raised from its Endurance Challenge and other activism to directly fund and organize development projects for the Uyghur diaspora. These projects are Uyghur-led by community activists and focus on at-risk youth. Our current projects are centered around teen mentorship and skill-building with additional language & academic instruction.

Help us end Uyghur persecution for the sake of this generation and the next.
