In our inaugural race, we raised over $12,000 and spread our message to thousands of people.

What began with four friends who set out to make change is now a movement spanning 30+ states and multiple countries. The Uyghur NextGen Project is bringing together American and Uyghur youths to fight for a better future.

253 Miles. 24 Hours.

Nearly 253 miles and 24 hours later, the 2020 Uyghur Ultramarathon Challenge was complete! After beginning in total darkness just before 4:30 a.m., the four of us ran until we couldn't anymore. Through sunrise, intermittent showers, midday humidity, sunset, and even nightfall once again, we continued on inspired by your contributions and dedication to raising awareness for the plight of Uyghur Muslims. As for the final tally, Saim and Sach completed 52.4 miles bowing out by 7 p.m., Jacob completed 68 miles just before midnight, and Oliver completed 80 miles across the 24 hours.
